Meredith Beeuwkes Scarlet
The farm owner, Meredith Scarlet, teaches both children and adults to embrace their riding with the energy and enthusiasm she brings to every lesson. Her instruction emphasizes safety, good horsemanship, and a secure, correct position. Meredith spends much of her time planning on-site clinics, camps and competitions while she continues to build out Scarlet Hill's expanding cross country course. She trains and competes in eventing and dressage. She also foxhunts when she gets a chance. Meredith's extensive horse experience also includes a Pony Club H-A rating. She is a regular clinician for several area pony clubs, whose members enjoy her proficiency in rating preparations and introduction to cross country riding. Meredith is a USEA certified riding instructor.
Denise Goyea
Denise Goyea is the resident horse trainer and instructor at Scarlet Hill Farm. She brings with her 20 years of horse experience and 15 years of active competition. She has trained with many top riders such as Denny Emerson, Cathy Connolly, Tom Davis, Eric Horgan, Lynn Coates-Holmes, and Stephie Baer. She has horses and students competing successfully Elementary through Preliminary, as well as students competing exclusively in Dressage. Denise is actively engaged with the local horse community where she teaches pony club and coaches at events throughout New England. She possesses a genuine passion for the care and training of the horses in her program along with the discipline to help her students succeed in their personal riding goals. She loves working with young horses and has introduced many horses to the sport of eventing. She is also helpful bringing along the training of older horses. Denise is available for buying and selling horses with references all along the East Coast. Denise is a USEA certified riding instructor.
