Training and Instruction

Scarlet Hill offers private and semi-private instruction. We also occasionally offer group lessons for cross country and stadium jumping. We host regular clinics and a variety of pony club events.

Weekly lessons and/or training sessions are required by all boarders. Ship-in students are encouraged for weekly lessons, and short-stay programs are available for intensive training. We also travel to many Area 1 events, both recognized and schooling, as well as some dressage shows. Coaching is available upon request.

Working Student positions are occasionally avalible for motivated teenagers (and adults) interested in exchanging barn work for lessons and training in barn management.

  • ½ Hour Private Lesson: $40
  • 1 Hour Semi-Private: $40
  • Group Jump: $40
  • Training Ride: $40
  • 1 Hour Private Lesson: $60
  • Coaching: $65
• Horse Trading
  • Horse Hunting: 10% of horse's asking price and all travelling expenses
  • Horse Selling: 10% of original sale price
